What is the best way I can advertise my murder-mystery parties to local restaurants and bars?

I want to make extra cash hosting murder mystery parties for restaurants and bars; a bit like dinner theater, I suppose, but more interactive. Other than cold calling potential restaurants, what's the best and most cost-effective way I can advertise my service to people in the industry? If it helps, I live in Austin, TX, if anyone knows of a local trade publication. What is the best way I can advertise my murder-mystery parties to local restaurants and bars?
Instead of trying to sell them something (your parties) give them something. As a former small business owner, time was both my most valuable asset and my worse enemy. If you could offer the owners time, it would get their attention. How? Throw a murder mystery party with the people attending being vendors who are trying to get face to face time with the owners of these establishments in order to introduce them to their products. Arrange it so that if they pay you to attend and participate, that they will be given 10 minutes to present their product line to the owner(s). This brings people into the establishment (best on it's slow nights) and it allows the owners to meet potential new vendors of potential new products for their business without the typical interruptions and pressure. Everyone wins, including you because now you've shown the restaurant and bar owners what your service could do for them as far as bringing people into their establishments; the owners because their time is being used more wisely and hopefully productively, and you because you're basically demonstrating your service and being paid for it all at the same time.
If you are doing it in Austin. I would put on a presentation and invite managers and owners to your party.

Once you are established you will have a showplace to advertise. Right now all you have is an idea and it needs to be demonstrated and if you don't GRAB their attention you will never get it going.

Bar people have to be sold on something that is going to affect the way their current crowd is changed by something this different.

You almost need at startup club to get that off the ground. Or do like the comedy clubs did when they first started about 30 years ago and get them to dedicate a slow night.

I worked at a club in Lexington KY that took on the Comedy Caravan and it lasted more than 16 years on Tuesday nights. What is the best way I can advertise my murder-mystery parties to local restaurants and bars?
flyers, or better yet postcards. you can get them printed cheap at http://gotprint.com. or http://vistaprint.com

you'll just have to have someone design something for you. unless you have any design programs yourself. i think got print will design it for you for a reasonable price.
