Is there some way to screen and prevent sick people from entering restaurants?

Airlines prevent sick passengers from flying every day. Why not do the same in restaurants? If someone is hacking and coughing and sneezing, they should be turned away at the front door.Is there some way to screen and prevent sick people from entering restaurants?
The problem is that you usually aren't contagious by the time you are showing symptoms. You would have to catch people before they are sick, and I just don't see that happening. Plus, if people would just wash their hands frequently (especially after using the restroom), germs wouldn't be spread as much. I say we sound an alert whenever someone doesn't wash their hands after using the bathroom. If someone didn't wash, there would be a loud speaker blaring "Beware of the lady in the black shirt and jeans that just left the ladies' room. She did not wash her hands after using the facilities and maybe carrying harmful germs!" Just a thought...
on the same token, how can we be sure that "all employees must wash their hands before returning to work" actually do?

i do agree with you 100% tho, but, not to defend the "carriers", but what if they say "i'm not sick, i have an allergy"?Is there some way to screen and prevent sick people from entering restaurants?
Airlines do not prevent passengers from flying unless they have a disease like TB...many people fly everyday with colds and illnesses......if you turn them away at a restuarant why not a grocery store????much more chance there of contaminting others.....carts, food, checkouts, aisles......come on.....maybe if US had universal healthcare we would be healthier....and what about employees not washing hands, touching hair, private areas, spitting in food, blowing noses on to food, lets get real here........no one should be turned away from anywhere unless they have a disesase like lepracy.....
No, airlines don't prevent sick passengers from flying, unless it increases their liability. Joe Blow with the flu still gets on.

As for restaurants, how do you know the guy next to you isn't coughing and sneezing because of the smoking fajita platter that just went past him. What you think may be sickness may just be allergies.

So, your opinion may be noted, but you really need to know the facts.
