What is the best way to sell advertising space to restaurants?

This a new publication, it will have lots of exposure (no # set yet)

The ads go from 95-1000. How do I approach restaurants and convince them to advertise. I am not a sales person and hate to bother people in the middle of a busy day, It is my business though and without these ads there is no business. What is the best way to sell advertising space to restaurants?
send the restaurants an email or fax with the outline advert and a contact number. That way they will call you if there keen.
There are several touch points that can help you achieve your goal. When you are looking to sell to restaurants go early in the morning or before the dinner rush. Also get the mgr/owner name before you go.

here are a few links that should help:

Good Luck! What is the best way to sell advertising space to restaurants?
Let me be frank with you.

You're never going to have a business if you keep thinking you're bothering people in the middle of the day. If you come with that attitude you will come across as weak and indecisive and apologetic. No one has time to deal with someone who doesn't know what they want.

One other point. You ARE a salesman. Or at least you'd better become one fast. Because you're selling your publication, you're selling yourself, and you're selling your potential audience to the restaurateurs.

And that's your product right there. That's your sales pitch. You've got an audience of readers the restaurants want to attract. They need your readers to pitch their restaurant to, and generate more business for themselves. So, you see you're not wasting their time. You're helping them generate more business.

Get tough. And start selling.
