Why does some restaurants serve their ice water with a slice of lemon?

I see it from time to time and I wonder why some restaurants do that and some doesn't.

Is it the taste? Why does some restaurants serve their ice water with a slice of lemon?
It's tap water and lemon keeps you from tasting the rancidness...lol
I honestly think its more of a design kind of thing. It really tastes the same. You cant taste the lemon at all. It's probably just for decoration to make it look nicer. Why does some restaurants serve their ice water with a slice of lemon?
The majority of customers prefer lemon with their water. It tastes good and covers up the chlorine taste in most water.
It's all about presentation.

Also, water with lemon is really good for you!
These tend to be better restaurants. It is to give the water a little flavor. A great deal of people prefer it this way.
i'm guessing to give the water a little flavor, even if that flavor is bitter
to mask the taste of filtered tap water that some restaurants use
