Can any locals recommend good restaurants in Boston?

I'm visiting Boston in a few days and would love to try some new, off the beaten path, restaurants. Any advice from some locals? Can any locals recommend good restaurants in Boston?
Try the NORTH END for some good Italian food and a nice atmosphere. Some of my favorites are FIORE, STREGA, and MASSIMINO'S. And definitely go to MIKE'S PASTRY for dessert (canolis)!

TANGO in Arlington is a really good Argentinian steakhouse that not many people know about. The food is delicious.

SALVATORE'S in Boston has really great Italian food and a trendy atmosphere.

BORDER CAFE for good Mexican. One in Saugus and Cambridge. Best chicken quesadillas ever and a fun Mexican theme. Great margaritas.
Inside Fanuiel Hall, there's a restuarant called "Plaza III Kansas City Steakhouse". Quite good. Ate there 3 times. Also, at the North End of Boston (Little Italy), there's an Italian restuarant called "Cantiana Italiana" and another good restuarant called "Stregga" (celebrites eat there, no lie)Can any locals recommend good restaurants in Boston?
1 place to eat in the North End is "Cantina Italiana" 346 Hanover Street Boston 617.723.4577. Oh and while your in the North End don't forget to visit Mike's Pastry 300 Hanover Street... mmmmmm enjoy
