What are some good restaurants in Orlando Florida?

I want to try alligater, I've heard that it is served as an appetizer at most the restaurants there. Is that true? What are some good restaurants in Orlando Florida?
Try Bahama breeze. Alligator tastes like chicken but its tougher %26amp; without the flavor!!!!
Alligator might be a common animal in Florida but it's certainly not common at most restaurants. Unless you go deep into the South or find a restaurant that specializes in foods like that, you most likely will not find alligator.

Before you get your expectations all high, I'll warn you. It tastes exactly like chicken. My friend gave me a piece and didn't tell me and I wasn't the wiser. What are some good restaurants in Orlando Florida?
Alligator taste a lot like chicken, softer texture. It is not commonly serve in Orlando but you can find it. Some good restaurants there are:

Bahama Breeze, Orlando Ale house, Texas Du Brazil, Boston Lobster Feast, Caf茅 tango, Emeril restaurant, Ponderosa steakhouse...

Good luck in your search.
-first try stone wood grille and tavern its a very good place. and yes you can get aligator almost anywhere. hell they sell it at the sports bar down ther street and i live in jacksonville beach. gator is good a mix of fish and chicken and naturaly salty good stuff.
Lived in the Georgia most of my life, and Florida the last three years...didn't have a chance to try gator until I went to New Orleans...and you won't find it on the menu in Orlando. But, it really does taste like dark meat chicken.

Good restaurants in Orlando....What side of town are you staying on...and how much do you want to spend?

If staying on I-drive...Charley's is one of the best steak houses in the country. If staying on I-drive and willing to drive a few blocks to Sand Lake Road(out of the tourist zone by a couple of blocks)...Antonio's has the most amazing Italian food you'll ever have. If you don't mind driving to where the locals eat....Just up I-4 a few miles..Winter Park area...Tolla's,(Pennsylvania Ave), Spice(Park Ave), Tijuana Flats(Aloma Ave)

Maitland....the original Antonio's(17-92), Orlando ....Coq au Van(4800 S. Orange Avenue)

If staying down by Disney....there is a Charley's in that area as well.

Haven't eaten often in Universal....went to Emeril's Tchoup chop and was not remotely impressed. There is a Chevy's at the first entrance to Disney that is good.

Hope that helps.
