I am going for a week and was wondering what some good restaurants are that are for people on a budget. I want to eat some traditional Irish food while I am over there as well, so any suggestions would be great!
Thank you! What are some good value restaurants in Dublin Ireland?
For things like Irish stew, the rest of the posters are right in that most pubs will have a few options like that on the menu. However, I'd recommend that you seek out pubs that are not right in the tourist hotspots as these won't always be cheap. Some exceptions to this would be O'Neill's on St. Andrew's Street (just off Grafton St) which does a great carvery, and T.P. Smith's on Jervis Street (just near Mary's Street).
Other good value restaurants in town, which do not necessarily do Irish food, include:
Cornucopia - Wicklow St (healthy, fresh cooked food, much of which is gluten free, vegetarian, etc)
Acapulco - Georges St (Mexican)
Salamanca - St Andrew's St (tapas)
Gruel - Dame Street (contemporary cuisine)
Milano - East Essex Street (pizza)
As you probably know, not much in Dublin comes cheap - but the prices here are all reasonable, especially compared to some.
Hope you have a great trip!
If you are over next week these is a promotion on called 'dine in dublin' where a lot of top restaurants are offering special menus to attract customers back into the city centre. However, if you are not here next week than pub grub is your best bet, most pubs in town have good choices on their menus.
for traditional menu try http://www.boxtyhouse.ie/ Gallaghers boxy house (who are also taking part in next weeks promotion)

pub grub is your best bet, but to be honest that can be just as expensive as a restaurant meal, it really depends were your going if your going to Dublin then expect to pay a lot, but anywere else you should be fine.
McDonalds, offers great dining, and wonderful, healthy food!
Green Nineteen on Camden street, All main courses 鈧?0, go early or else ring in advance.
Great food, great prices, great atmosphere.
I should work for them, ha.
