What restaurants should we eat at on the Disney Dining Plan?

We are going the first week of May to Disneyworld for our Honeymoon. We are doing the basic Disney Dining Plan, one snack, one quick service and one table service meal. We are there for 7 days. Where should we go? I want to go to the SciFi Drive In, but I'm just not sure where else to go. Any suggestions are appreciated. We also don't mind using two meal tickets for the nicer restaurants.

Thanks. What restaurants should we eat at on the Disney Dining Plan?
Although you already had a lot of responses, I wanted to write because I wanted to let you know to call NOW to make reservations! Many/most table service restaurants will be booked up if you do not make reservations and put signs out front that they do not accept walk ins. Decide today and call right away!! I would hate for you to pay for a table service with the dining plan and not get it.

That said, here are some recommendations. You probably will need to have many choices when you call because people were already calling in February for May reservations so have your options open.

- Whispering Canyon Cafe has great dinners and the waitstaff have funny jokes that they make.

- 50s Prime Time Cafe - 'mom' will make you eat your veggies before dessert!

- Rose and Crown at Epcot - if you can get in at 7:15-8 then you can have a guaranteed seat for Illuminations

- Boma - If you want to try something new, exotic African type food buffet style.

- Sanaa - If you have trouble booking a restaurant try this brand new one in the Animal Kingdom Lodge that serves Indian food.

- Cape May if you enjoy luxurious seafood buffet

- Chef Mickey's is popular and fun restaurant
These are some of the most popular %26amp; best restaurants in Disney. I would highly recommend trying any of them!

Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom, Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom, Chef Mickey's at The Contemporary, California Grille at The Contemporary, Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kona Cafe at The Polynesian, Ohana at The Polynesian, Garden Grille at Epcot, Le Cellier at Epcot, Akershus at Epcot, Sci Fi Diner at Hollywood Studios.

I have experienced all of these and loved them. Make sure you call 90 days before your trip at 7:00 AM. Most of these places book up very far in advance. Eating in the castle, for example, books up at 7:00 AM every morning for 90 days in advance. It's one that takes a lot of luck to book.

Best of luck - enjoy the dining plan! What restaurants should we eat at on the Disney Dining Plan?
I've eaten at every restaurant in Disney World, here are some of my favorites:

Teppanyaki - Japan at Epcot

Biergarten - Germany at Epcot

Boma - Animal Kingdom Lodge

Sci-Fi is fun, that was my first job at WDW! The food is not that great, but you will enjoy the atmosphere

O'Hana - Polynesian

Rose and Crown - UK at Epcot get a late seating and you will get to see Illuminations while you are enjoying your meal!

Coral Reef - Epcot
Dang, I was gonna say the Sci Fi Drive In! That place is very cool, really enjoyed it. My wife says the Crystal Palace, where the Winnie the Pooh characters are, and you can get hugs from them. (Wouldn't interest me on MY honeymoon, but there ya go!)

At Epcot, the Bier Garten was very cool, had live music and an awesome German buffet.

Just a suggestion: book your times at non-normal meal-time hours. Then it might not be quite so busy and crazy.

Have a great time!
I thought the food at the Sci-Fi was horrid. Worst food in all of Disney.

I would go to the 50's Prime Time diner instead.

Coral Reef

France

Mexico

Mama Melrose-you could do the Fantasmic package

check out all menus here:
I don't kno if chef mickey is on there but before you leave you MUST eat there.

a quick service meal the best one i think is the one in magic kingdom directly across from the race track.
mama malrose

japanise table ( forgot name)

le Cellier
I prefer the 50's prime time diner over the SciFi Drive In. I did not care for the food at the SciFi Diner.
deffinetly sci fi drive in best choice
