What Restaurants Can You Recommend In Liverpool?

My sister and I are going to Liverpool for a short break in the summer, and would like to know of any relatively cheap yet good restaurants to eat at for dinner when we first arrive. Preferably around Slater Street. Neither of us are fussy eaters, but my sister is allergic to nuts.

Why not go to the 'Everyman' Bar %26amp; Bistro? Very good value food AND drink. You can get 3 decent courses in a main meal for 拢15 and large portions as well. They use freshly cooked local food when possible and have a decent wine list.
