Dukes in West Hollywood (sunset blvd next to the whiskey a go go and cat club) also any of the restaurants near sunset plaza including Mel's Diner. Urth Cafe on Melrose in Beverly Hills.
Don't forget Doughboys Cafe (8136 West Third St-- Try the Pan Toast...excellent!) or Joans on Third (8350 West Third St-- their homemade granola is to die for.). Both are just outside of Hollywood but well worth the extra drive.
