Most restaurants have big enough staff to handle the various shifts and have part time to full time jobs so yes apply and when you go for the interview for the part time position in form them that you do go to school and these days you are available to work. YOu should know however that weekends will often be rotated meaning you may not have to work each weekend. but that the company for fairness would want you to pull your weight every other weekend or every 3rd weekend. You don't want to go in there making your rules and defining your set hours just to suit you after all your being hired and the company will want you during there peak times as well. after all there running a business

Will restaurants work around your schedule?I have been in the restaurant industry since I began working in high school. Restaurants get most of their business in the evenings and on weekends. They would like for you to be available during these times. They will try to work with you, but remember that the more availability you give the easier it will be for them. Many places won't even consider you if you aren't willing to work on weekends. Don't fret though because in my experience they don't work every person every day of every weekend. They try very hard to cooperate with school schedules, but not for ridiculous excuses.
Too many people and not enough jobs. If you can't work their needed schedule, they may not wish to hire you. Most restaurants will surely work with you as much as possible on your scheduling. Usually the employees who have been there the longest will have a choice of days and hours they want to work. Try to go along with the schedule you end up with and you'l soon be an employee with a choice of what days and hours you prefer to work. You should be able to find out from an employee about scheduling before you apply. Let's hope that the days and hours available will fit your schedule! Good luck with the job and school!
You'll have to provide more flexibility than that, otherwise they'll just pick someone who is able to be more flexible. While working around school isn't usually a problem, weekends are their busiest times. You're putting yourself at a very big disadvantage if you aren't willing to work weekends.
Restaurants are usually busiest on weekends so if you can work then at least you may get the job. They will often try to work with you but you have to be a little flexible too.
