Looking for Vegetarian friendly restaurants in New Orleans?

My husband and I are planning a romantic trip to New Orleans this summer and would like some suggestions for vegetarian friendly restaurants. This is not our first trip to the Big Easy and we have had good luck in previous years finding vegetarian restaurants or restaurants that will meet my husband's needs, but I was wondering if there are any that we might have missed. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

We will be staying in the FQ without a car so suggestions in Faubourg Marigny, French Quarter, CBD and Garden District are preferred.Looking for Vegetarian friendly restaurants in New Orleans?
the Whole Foods store has a sandwich shop.
The Gumbo Shop has vegetarian options.

Also, Cuvee will make special prep on their dishes. The chef prepared a dish for us and came out to present. Just tell your waiter you are vegetarian and ask what can be prepared without meat.

Both are in the French Quarter.

Its really difficult to find foods not prepared with meat in New Orleans. Even many of the vegetables are cooked in meat. But if you ask, the restaurants are really wonderful about cooking something meatless. So don't let a menu without a vegetarian option stop you from asking for vegetarian options.Looking for Vegetarian friendly restaurants in New Orleans?
