My friends and I are looking for cheap and good restaurants in Vancouver which have great atmosphere and are full of character. Any suggestions? We always seem to end up at White Spot or Earls and it's driving me crazy just knowing how much I'm missing out on in this city of awesome food. What are the best and cheapest restaurants in Vancouver?
If you are a sushi fan I know this fantastic little place. It's one of those small hole in the wall kind of places but it has the best Japanese food I've ever eaten. It's called Sushi Yama and it's on East Broadway %26amp; Brunswick (near Main). It's extremely affordable, my hubby and I always eat there for under $25 and stuff ourselves silly. We've recently moved to New Westminster and still make the trek out there whenever we're in the mood for sushi, no other place will do now! You should get there before 6pm or else you may have to wait for a table, it can get pretty busy. They also aren't open on Sundays.
