How much should I tip in restaurants?

In my country, we hardly tip because waiters and waitress are paid enough to live without tip.

So I have no idea how much should I tip in restaurants in USA.

1. In high-class restaurants

2. Do I need to tip in fast food restaurants and in Chinese, Korean, or Japanese restaurants? How much should I tip in restaurants?
About 15-20%. It depends on how satisfied with the service you are. You are, after all, tipping the service.

And if the fast food restaurant has a tip jar, throw something in there if your server was polite. I've worked at Subway for years now, and if I spend all the time making the sandwiches for you, and striking up a conversation, a tip is nice.

I would tip at Asian restaurants too.
20% is the norm. (10% if you are a cheap-o)

But, always tip in the USA in any type of restaurant.

(Except at fast food restaurants or places with a drive-thru.)How much should I tip in restaurants?
for good service, 20 percent in sit down resturants. none in fast food self service.
Usually you tip 15-20% for a sit down meal. If the service is terrible, I would leave no tip because nobody gives me money when I do a half *** job.
20% in all restaurants
