I am writing a letter for my college dorms. We are located in NYC and have 600 residents. We will include the restaurants that give us discounts in our monthly newsletter, on every floor, and in our game room. Can someone help me with a sample letter or at least step-by-step tips. How do you write a letter asking for college student discounts at restaurants?
In all out honesty, you would be better off going into the establishment and presenting your claim or cause and here it straight from the horses mouth so-to-speak. An appearance has much more impact, face to face, that sort of thing usually gets you much further than a letter. Good Luck.
" To Whom it May Concern at Restaurant XYZ:
College ABC would like to ask for your permission to recieve discounts for our students. In return, we will advertise your restaurant in our newsletters, on every floor, and in our game room. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
(Your Name)"
Hope this helps! How do you write a letter asking for college student discounts at restaurants?
I agree with Sierra. I have been on committees at work looking for donations for fund raising items from local businesses and have always had a good turn out. I would just like to mention that you should call the businesses first and ask the managers name so your letter can be personally addressed.
