What kind of restaurants to pick when dating a vegetarian?

When we started dating, she wasn't a complete vegetarian yet. She would still have fish, and the occasional beef. But now, she's been meat free for a month.

I use to just make sure the restaurant I picked had fish plates...but now that she's a complete vegetarian, how do I pick the restaurants? I don't want to take her to a place, where all she can have is a salad, but I don't want to eat salad either! What kind of restaurants to pick when dating a vegetarian?
i'm a vegetarian and so understand how this can be a problem when eating out. just have a look at a sample menu before hand.

for a special occasion, i'd say look up special veggie restaurants she might like. that way, you're letting her know that she's important to you and you would like to share her enthusiasm for a such a big life choice (you don't have to be a veggie to appreciate veggie food).

in general, italian restaurants usually have a good choice of meat-free dishes. as others have said there are quite a few asian vegetarian restaurants around since meat-free diets are common in asian cultures.
If you haven't found a partner with similar eating habits and a healthy life style you should try http://singlevegetarians.com . It's a great site for vegetarians and vegans to meet as well as local restaurants with reviews which cater to your needs

I would choose a vegetarian restaurant or a Chinese restaurant where they have a buffet so you can choose only vegetables and rice.
I'd find a new chick.
Most Chinese and Thai (in particular) restaurants have some very interesting vegetarian dishes.
Most restaurants have vegetarian selections. Even the Texas Roadhouse (a steakhouse) has a vegetarian option on the menu. Many restaurants have their menu on line so you can check it out before you go. Otherwise, try the telephone. When you call for reservations ask about their vegetarian options. They will be happy to accommodate you.
Well, I probably wouldn't date a vegetarian, but, with that being said, I would probably just take her on a stroll through woods, she could chew on some bark or acorns. Or you could put her in a pasture and let her graze for a while.

Now, if you don't have any woods or a pasture near you, my suggestion would be outback steakhouse, or longhorns. You could have real food and she could gnaw on the table, and maybe eat a napkin or two.
Most restaurants usually have a vegetarian option. Just find a place and check the menu. And the vege option isn't usually just a salad lol, there are quorn burgers, bean burgers, vegetable lasagna/bolognese etc.

Alternatively, you could cook he favourite dish, that would definitely earn some brownie points.
There are many Indian restaurants that are Strictly vegetarian, I love Indian food but it could be too spicey for some. its not improper to ask her, if she would like to go to a certain restaurant. Just dont say "Where do you want to go" But if you suggest a place, that shows thought and consideration for her feelings.
Asian and Indian restaurants are your best bet. They have tons of interesting vegetarian food. Italian restaurants have a lot of decent vegetarian options too.
