I took my son on a trip when he was 4 and came to the realization that at that age kids are not interested in attractions like we as adults would find interesting and appreciate. After pushing him to see the attractions and go from place to place I realized that what made him most happy was to play in the water foundain. We let him do that for hours and he had a wonderful time laughing and getting wet.

In Hawaii for instance, the Polynesian Cultural Center is a very interesting place to learn about the island culture. Kids don't care about that. Climbing Diamond Head may be adventurous and beautiful at the top but a 4 year old won't have the endurance. Pearl Harbor is moving and beautiful in a solemn kind of way, a 4 year old will only be interested in playing in the water. Even spectular scenery will be lost on him.

The most enjoyable thing for a 4 year old in Waikiki is to play in the sand and splash in the water. In my humble opinion dragging him around the island to all the other things that interest adults will not only be unfair to him but may make your vacation very stressful, and who needs that.
Atrantis submarine from Hilton Hawaiian village. Dive into the ocean with submarine, and you can see all kinds of great sea creatures; if you are lucky enough, small sharks and sea turtles swim by your submarine. The prices for the tickets are not that bad, actually. It runs from $27.00 a piece. Also, 1100 dive is operated in Japanese language, so, if you don't speak or understand Japanese, you need to chose different hours.

You can try "honolulu zoo" at the end of Waikiki towards to diamond head. Entrance fees are cheap. $6.00 each and kids under 5 is free. There is petting zoo inside Honolulu zoo, and you can touch baby goats. They are cute. You can't feed them, though.

I have couple friends who have 6 years old son, and they said thier 6-year-old enjoyed eating at Japanese resturant called "Tanaka of Tokyo". It is Japanese resturant, but, the food they provide isn't really Japanese, they have steaks, chickens, sea food, etc. And, the cheifs are cooking right in front of you! Some of them are very talented and entertaining, they said.

I don't know anything about Golf. I don't play golf. Sorry.

How do you make good fried chicken with a nice breading like restaurants?

Traditional fried chicken I use the egg wash and seasoned flour. How can I make the breading like they do in restaurants? I have a good cast iron skillet to work with...How do you make good fried chicken with a nice breading like restaurants?
Soak your cheicken parts in buttermilk mixed with some salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper over night. Heat your oil to about 350 and use a deep cast iron pot or a fryer. Take your chicken out of the buttermilk, shake off the excess, roll it in flour seasoned with black pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, and poultry seasoning. Shake off the excess. Then dip it in fresh buttermilk, shake off again, roll in flour again, shake off, and fry until it is brown and crispy. Not too much at once in the fryer though. If you don't keep the oil at temp, it will soak in and you will have soggy oily nasty chicken. Peanut oil is best. Its messy and can be a process, but worth the work!
Make sure you use deep oil, otherwise it won't turn out deep fried. When the chicken floats to the top its done. How do you make good fried chicken with a nice breading like restaurants?
FRIED CHICKEN

1 (3 to 4 pound) chicken, cut up into 10 pieces

Kosher salt

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons garlic powder

2 tablespoons onion powder

2 tablespoons sweet paprika

2 teaspoons cayenne

Freshly ground black pepper

2 cups buttermilk

2 tablespoons hot chili sauce, such as Srirachi Hot Chili Sauce

Peanut oil, for frying

Put the chicken pieces into a large bowl. Cover the chicken with water by 1-inch; add 1 tablespoon of salt for each quart of water used. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight. In a large shallow platter, mix the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne until well blended; season generously with salt and pepper. In another platter combine the buttermilk and hot sauce; season with salt and pepper. Drain the chicken and pat it dry. Dredge the pieces, a few at a time, in the flour mixture, then dip them into the buttermilk; dredge them again in the seasoned flour. Set aside and let the chicken rest while you heat the oil. Put about 3 inches of oil into a large deep pot; it should not come up more than half way. Bring the oil up to 375 degrees F over medium high heat. Working in batches, carefully add the chicken pieces 3 or 4 at a time. Fry, turning the pieces once, until golden brown and cooked through, about 20 minutes. Remove from the oil and place on a rack to drain; repeat with the remaining pieces.
The secret to crispy chicken is to double dip.

Put 2 cups flour in a gallon plastic storage bag add 3 Tablespoons seasoning salt and 2 Tablespoons pepper

mix well.

In bowl put 2 cups milk, 3 Tablespoons chicken bullion, and 2 eggs, mix well.

Put chicken in wet mixture then into flour, shake to coat then repeat.

Carefully place chicken in skillet of hot oil. cook about 15 minutes turning often until nice and brown.

You can repeat a third time for extra crispy.

This is an old country recipe I've used in my restaurant for about 10 years.
For two dozen wings

6 ounces white flour, 1 ounce black pepper, 1 ounce of two other spices you like. toss wings into mixture and cooked into pre-heated oil

Enjoy
Oven baked fried chicken

Make three "dipping stations"

Season the chicken with all purpose seasoning.

Cover in first bowl which you have filled with flour %26amp; a little extra seasonings

Dip in second bowl which contains two eggs beaten.

Cover in third bowl which has bread crumbs in it!... Italian or whatevr style you like.

Then fry it in an inch of vegetable oil or simply place it on a cookie sheet in the oven at 350degrees truning after 15 minutes for a total cooking time of 24-30 minutes.
Marinate your chicken in buttermilk 15-20 minutes. Then dredge heavily in seasoned flour. Fry in oil that covers about 2/3 of the chicken over medium heat.
I always use crushed cornflakes. season up the chicken, soak it in egg mixed with buttermilk and then roll or shake with the crushed cornflakes. they are soo crunchy and yummy

What are some nice chain restaurants with alot of vegetarian items?

If anyone knows some good vegetarian restaurants in waco also this would be awesome! What are some nice chain restaurants with alot of vegetarian items?
Enjoy a veggie burger at burger king. They are delightful.
subway has a very good veggie patty. in fact i wish food stores sold it.What are some nice chain restaurants with alot of vegetarian items?
Chipotle... mmm delicious
GO TO JAPAN
Golden Corral has a lot of veggies. I doubt that an all vegetarian restaurant could make a very good living.
Schlotzsky's Deli

On The Border Mexican Grill

Souper Salad Restaurant
you can try a lot of places like burger king has the patties and subway.. im a vegetarian too but what I do when I want to go out to eat is that I try indian resturants a lot of them offer diffrent types of foods that contain noooo meat or any other animals :)
On the border, Subway, Salad Creations, Burger King (has a veggie burger), Olive Garden... and that's all I can think of for right now. lol
Chain restaurants? Good luck with that. They all have the same generic menu, and probably buy their food pre-made in bulk from Restaurant Supply Co. There will be meat in every sauce and rennet in every cheese, and those ARE the vegetarian options.

And do you really want to become a fast food connoisseur? Sure burger king may have veggie burgers, but do you want to support BURGER king? Or McDonalds for that matter? Try out family run restaurants, and ethnic restaurants, those are your best guilt free options.
Ruby Tuesdays has a veggie burger.

Applebee's has a cheese quesidilla or mozz sticks.

OCharleys has pepperjack cheese wedges and salads.

Olive Garden has alfredo, lots of appetizers that involve just cheese and veggies, and spaghetti with no meat.
Any indian resturant, and Indian food is yummy!

Also, subway. Just have them change their gloves and wash the knife. The Italian bread is actually vegan and as a vegan, I get it all the time with a veggie delight with avacado! It's sooo good and healthy and fills you up. Burger kind has a veggie patty but they fry it on the same grill as the meat without washing it and flips it with the same spatula. Denny's has a boca burger but some of them use a different spatula and some don't so ask. I don't know how strict you are with meat touching your food.

Sizzler has a salad bar and has tofu a lot of the time too! Red Robin also has some vegan/vegetarian options. Also, at Del Taco they have a vegetarian burrito and without cheese and sour cream it's vegan. Stay away from Taco bell. For the love of god.

Try these sites:

I know that a lot of people here will tell you to only make your own food and blah blah blah. but I understand that sometimes you want to go out to eat with your friends and you don't want to have to worry about having to order a generic garden salad.
some places with alot of options:

Pei Wei, Cafe Express,Olive Garden, P.F. Changs, Jasons Deli,

some Places with not so many options but still good!

Chili's(bean burger and good(filling) salads to ask for with no meat),

Berry Hill( awesome spinach and corn tamales! good salsa too)

Pappasitos Cantina( eat a salad with no meat or ask for sides of white rice, black beans, guacamole and tortillas and make wraps!)

there are more but these are just what comes to mind

also, any mediterranean, Oriental, or indian restaurant will have a lot of vegetarian options. ask waitresses what is vegetarian. They are usually helpful.

Can any locals recommend good restaurants in Boston?

I'm visiting Boston in a few days and would love to try some new, off the beaten path, restaurants. Any advice from some locals? Can any locals recommend good restaurants in Boston?
Try the NORTH END for some good Italian food and a nice atmosphere. Some of my favorites are FIORE, STREGA, and MASSIMINO'S. And definitely go to MIKE'S PASTRY for dessert (canolis)!

TANGO in Arlington is a really good Argentinian steakhouse that not many people know about. The food is delicious.

SALVATORE'S in Boston has really great Italian food and a trendy atmosphere.

BORDER CAFE for good Mexican. One in Saugus and Cambridge. Best chicken quesadillas ever and a fun Mexican theme. Great margaritas.
Inside Fanuiel Hall, there's a restuarant called "Plaza III Kansas City Steakhouse". Quite good. Ate there 3 times. Also, at the North End of Boston (Little Italy), there's an Italian restuarant called "Cantiana Italiana" and another good restuarant called "Stregga" (celebrites eat there, no lie)Can any locals recommend good restaurants in Boston?
1 place to eat in the North End is "Cantina Italiana" 346 Hanover Street Boston 617.723.4577. Oh and while your in the North End don't forget to visit Mike's Pastry 300 Hanover Street... mmmmmm enjoy

Anyone know what type of teriyaki sauce the restaurants use?

I've been wanting to make Teriyaki chicken at home for awhile now, like they make in all the little restaurants like Kobo Teriyaki, Happy Teriyaki, Toto's Teriyaki, etc. I bought some sauce at the grocery store and was very unhappy with it because it was a LOT more bitter than the stuff at the restaurants. I don't know what brand they use - and I hate to keep buying bottle after bottle trying to find the right stuff!

Anyone know?Anyone know what type of teriyaki sauce the restaurants use?
I know exactly how you feel...I used to have the same problem until I combined two sauces. I combine kikkoman which is thick like a glaze and either Harris Teeter's HT Traders brand or KMART's Hy Top brand. The Harris Teeter and KMART brands are the runny sauce and with the kikkoman they turn out really great and really sweet. Also, try seasoning your chicken with a little brown sugar, garlic salt and pepper and then add the teriyaki. That is what I do when I make stir fry.
MOST USE KIKOMAN'S ....IT TASTES BETTER BECAUSE IT'S FERMENTED IN VATS BEFORE BOTTLING......MANY IN THE USA JUST MIX AND BOTTLE ONLY......KIKOMAN'S MADE IN JAPAN HAVE BEEN MAKING SOY SAUCE %26amp; IT'S DERIVATIVES FOR OVER 400 YRS........Anyone know what type of teriyaki sauce the restaurants use?
Goodhost,Toastmaster, , Western Family, Presidents Choice,China Lily, Libby's, Purity, Parkay, Robins', Rooster Brand Superior, Kilkoman's.These wereused in restaurants I worked in there's others but I mentioned ? I like best.. your palatt may be different! I did them in order of my preferance. The last one is far too strong %26amp; most common!
Almost every restaurant uses Kikomans the spelling may be wrong but the brand isn't.
If you ask the restaurant, they might sell you a bottle of the teriyaki sauce you like so much.
Really any respectable Japanese restaurant makes their own teriyaki sauce.

Most have:

soy sauce

sugar

garlic

rice wine vinegar

and some put a little tomato product in it as well.

It's fun to experiment and come up with your own.
You should try adding some brown sugar or molasses to it to make it a little bit more sweeter. I know Costco has a teriyaki sauce I think it's Kikkoman that tastes like the typical teriyaki sauce.

Also you should try making your own. I found this recipe that is easy to follow or you can try www.foodnetwork.com.

  • How can I get over my fear of tampered ketchup bottles in restaurants?

I have to bring my own ketchup packets to Restaurants. I am afraid that the previous patrons may have spiked the ketchup bottle with something like Cyanide or LSD, waiting for the next unsuspecting patron to use it.

Does anyone else have this fear? How did you get over it?How can I get over my fear of tampered ketchup bottles in restaurants?
general parinoia? or only ketchup bottles?

that's different, thou i did have a friend that was scared to death of storm drains.
I personally don't have this fear, but I know that a great many people do. My suggestion, keep a bottle of ketchup in your car somewhere, and take it into the restaurant with you. If they say anything to you, ask to speak to the manager and explain the situation to him. My mother takes her own salad dressing in to restaurants w/her because she is on a very restricted diet and this is the only way she can be SURE of what she's getting. How can I get over my fear of tampered ketchup bottles in restaurants?
You have to use immersion therapy. Make someone force you to use the ketchup at restaurants. Although I have to say you do have a pretty realistic fear; those things are gross, I don't ever use them anyway out of purely hygenic reasons. But thats not the point! You have a fixation on this and want to change, so it looks like you'll have to eat some dirty ketchup before you feel right again.
The same could be done to the packets of ketchup you take to the restaurants! Your phobia is not very common but nonetheless it seems to be pretty specific so until you get over it continue taking the packets, even though....
I have never heard of that before. Catsup in restaurant bottles is often refilled from large bottles or by combining several almost empty bottles into one partial bottle. That means that what looks like a new filled bottle might be one that was on someone's table previously. I guess it is possible that there was tampering even though I think it is very improbable.

You can buy those carry-along catsup packets at food supply places for pretty cheap when you buy a large pack of them. If that is what makes you comfortable you could continue to do it. You might also want to just skip putting catsup on foods in restaurants.
I don't see anything irrational about a fear of using communal condiments in a restaurant. Yuck. I don't have a serious problem with it.... but I prefer to use packets, too. With people I know, I don't even think about it... But you are 100% right.

Don't trust anything where lots of people have handled it. If you have the option of using packets or things that haven't been tampered with, then do it. If not, don't freak out... but it doesn't hurt to be cautious.

Is there some way to screen and prevent sick people from entering restaurants?

Airlines prevent sick passengers from flying every day. Why not do the same in restaurants? If someone is hacking and coughing and sneezing, they should be turned away at the front door.Is there some way to screen and prevent sick people from entering restaurants?
The problem is that you usually aren't contagious by the time you are showing symptoms. You would have to catch people before they are sick, and I just don't see that happening. Plus, if people would just wash their hands frequently (especially after using the restroom), germs wouldn't be spread as much. I say we sound an alert whenever someone doesn't wash their hands after using the bathroom. If someone didn't wash, there would be a loud speaker blaring "Beware of the lady in the black shirt and jeans that just left the ladies' room. She did not wash her hands after using the facilities and maybe carrying harmful germs!" Just a thought...
on the same token, how can we be sure that "all employees must wash their hands before returning to work" actually do?

i do agree with you 100% tho, but, not to defend the "carriers", but what if they say "i'm not sick, i have an allergy"?Is there some way to screen and prevent sick people from entering restaurants?
Airlines do not prevent passengers from flying unless they have a disease like TB...many people fly everyday with colds and illnesses......if you turn them away at a restuarant why not a grocery store????much more chance there of contaminting others.....carts, food, checkouts, aisles......come on.....maybe if US had universal healthcare we would be healthier....and what about employees not washing hands, touching hair, private areas, spitting in food, blowing noses on to food, lets get real here........no one should be turned away from anywhere unless they have a disesase like lepracy.....
No, airlines don't prevent sick passengers from flying, unless it increases their liability. Joe Blow with the flu still gets on.

As for restaurants, how do you know the guy next to you isn't coughing and sneezing because of the smoking fajita platter that just went past him. What you think may be sickness may just be allergies.

So, your opinion may be noted, but you really need to know the facts.

What is the law in California re paying tax at restaurants?

Sometimes I'm told that if I take food to go, there is no tax to pay. Sometimes, I'm told that if I eat ON the restaurant premises, it IS taxable! Some restaurants (certain bagel chains) don't charge tax either way! Same applies to supermarkets. In one particular chain there is a prepared food bar (hot food) which IS taxable, yet the prepared, ready packed foods are apparently NOT taxable and neither are foods purchased at their cold deli.

I'm confused. And I think a lot of restaurant workers don't know the law either. What is the law in California re paying tax at restaurants?
The controlling phrase in the FTB regulations is that food is subject to sales tax if it is sold "in a form suitable for immediate consumption on or off the premises".

Your Subway sandwich, therefore, is taxable whether sold to eat in or take away. As another example, Nations Burgers sells pie 'to go' by the slice, includes a plastic fork, and charges sales tax. If you buy a whole pie 'to go', however, you don't get a fork, and they do not charge sales tax.

The laws are, as the poster above, said, confusing and sometimes contradictory, but that's the basic rule. (After all, if I buy an apple at Safeway, isn't it "in a form suitable for immediate consumption on or off the premises"?)

    Richard
A lot of restaurants are confused. That's because the tax regulations are extremely confusing.

Generally, anything that is heated up and ready to eat is taxed. That includes your takeout pizzas, your take-out fried chicken, drive-thru hamburgers, etc.

Generally, any food that is intended to be consumed on the premises is taxable. That would include anything served at your typical sit-down restaurant, like Denny's.

Generally, ready-to-consume cold food that is taken to go is not taxed. So, your cold Subway sandwich, taken to go, should not be taxed. But it seems many Subways still charge tax. My guess is that it's probably because (1) the franchisee doesn't know the law, or (2) the franchisee knows the law, and just charges tax on everything to make an extra profit, or (3) the franchisee just charges tax on everything to avoid audits by the state tax authorities.

The regulations concerning tax on food are EXTREMELY complicated and EXTREMELY confusing. You can read them yourself: http://www.boe.ca.gov/pdf/reg1603.pdf

It's hardly surprising that many restaurant proprietors would be confused about what products are taxed, and what products are not. What is the law in California re paying tax at restaurants?
If you purchase food, you ARE paying a tax. The question is really how the restaurant calculates its tax. Most will add it on after they give you the initial total. Some include it in the prices individually. You are correct that most restaurant workers don't know the law. They don't have to in this case. They just have to give their total sales and turn in a percentage of that sales as tax to the city, county, and State. They have auditors and accountants who do that for them.
YOU don't pay sales tax. It is the responsibility of the business to pay sales tax on every dollar they make.

Businesses add this into their prices (even the one's who don't say so factor in the tax, like the bagel place).

It doesn't matter where you eat, if you buy the food, the tax gets charged.
You actually do pay sales tax. The business is required to collect the law on your behalf. They even get to keep a small portion for the costs of collection. It's really low.

rickinno is correct. If it's designed to be eaten on premises it's taxed.

this is my favorite place in California, youll love it
French Laundry, Michael Mina, Gary Danko, Aqua - that is if you can get a reservation.
For a 25th, you want romantic ambiance as well as excellent food and service. My experience has been that most SF restaurants are overrated, over priced, and too noisy to qualify.

I would focus on the Napa area about 1.5 hours north of SF. The French Laundry is highly regarded by the food critics and patrons alike. But it is very, very expensive and hard to get reservations for on anything but long notice.

Auberge du Soleil, north of Napa and in the foothills, is less pricey, but still excellent food and service. The quiet setting overlooking a gorgeous valley is very romantic. ADS is one of my favorites, but you still need reservations well in advance.

My favorite is Chandon, the winery, also located near Napa. Its setting, overlooking a formal garden valley and brook, is very romantic. Sit outside and enjoy the countryside sounds and smells. The food and service are every bit as good as the above two places, but the prices are way cheaper than either one. Reservations are recommended, but not months ahead.

Closer to the Bay, try Scott's at Jack London Square in Oakland. Located on the Alameda Estuary, you have views of the sailboats tacking up and down the water. The food and service are excellent; and there is live, but quiet, music from time to time. If you're coming from SF (Embarcadero), you can ride the ferry boats to Jack London Square and back...that's a nice romantic touch.

Aqua, Fleur de Lys, and Quince are on that list (you can do a search to look up their websites). But the number one restaurant in the Bay Area is undoubtedly the "French Laundry" in Yountville. You could probably run about $300 per person for lunch (includes tip and wine). It's been voted as one of the top restaurants in the world. And it's been known to take reservations six months in advance because of demand.
I just celebrated our anniversary at The Dining Room, Ritz-Carlton San Francisco. We think the place is good. The chef, Ron Siegel was the winner of the Iron Chef Japan on 1998.

What are the best restaurants in the San Francisco bay area for fine, vegetarian dining?

As you probably know, most "fine dining" restaurants have very limited vegetarian menus, so I'm looking for a vegetarian, fine dinging place on either side of the bay.

Can anyone recommend good restaurants around the old town in Prague?

Looking for good restaurants around the old town in Prague. I am staying in this area during a holiday in March. Never been to Prague so keen to hear of any good places to eat!Can anyone recommend good restaurants around the old town in Prague?
One place that I particularly like that's close to Old Town Square is Ryb铆 trh http://www.rybitrh.cz/index_en.html It's fairly expensive, but excellent. I also like the U Zlatych Nuzek restaurant which is on Kampa Island a few steps from Charles Bridge: http://www.uzlatychnuzek.cz/?lang=en It's the restaurant of a boutique hotel. There are many, many other good places to eat in Prague. The Trolley Cafe in Wenceslaus Square (Cafe Tramvaj 11) is a good spot for Medovnik and a drink.

How do you think Restaurants responded to Michelle Obamas demands?

She told them to serve smaller portions of food. Hah? That's a first for a first Lady . I was thinking maybe if those restaurants did what comrade Michelle told them to do, maybe they will lose business, but maybe that's just me?How do you think Restaurants responded to Michelle Obamas demands?
They included a Salad and yogurt on the menu. No one buys it, they still buy the Big Mac with extra cheese. Business is business no matter what the first lady wants. She should start working on the Presidents smoking habit first.
Too many hogs live in this country and praise the lard. How do you think Restaurants responded to Michelle Obamas demands?
Probably not well especially after her husband ordered 10 buffalo wings, an order of fries and an order of onion ring at a Buffalo, NY wing joint yesterday..

BTW, you are right, they would lose business. The government (or the first lady) has absolutely to right to tell restaurants what they may or may not serve..
After a quick look at her thighs, she should worry about how big her own portions are.
She was talking about Popeye's Chicken.

    1. 40% of all workers in LA county (LA county has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes because they are illegal immigrants.

    2. 95% of warrants for murder are for illegal immigrants.

    3. over 2/3 of all births in LA county are to Illegal alien Mexicans on Medi Cal whose births were paid fo by taxpayers.

    4. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican Nationals here Illegally.

    6. In LA county 50.1 percent speak English, 3.9 percent speak Spanish and there are 10.2 million people in LA County.

These are facts as reported in the LA times who is for the Arizona bill.
They should serve smaller portions. Americans are bizarre in what they equate value on. Bigger portions more value, I'd rather have smaller portions and quality organic non genetically modified foods, but that's just me. To each their own I suppose.
    it's a request, not a demand.
    . . .With a collective one-finger salute.

On the other hand, we don't have to eat 4,000 calorie meals, much less go to such a place that serves them.
Michelle Obama is a big woman. How is that going to work out for her?

I'd tell her to go to...well, her house is kinda the same thing...
Some will respond by increasing portion sizes, decreasing the price and advertising the fact that they are flying in the face of the First Lady's initiative. You will find this type of response in most conservative establishments.

On the other hand you will find some that take the advice, reduce the portion sizes, increase the price and advertise that they are toeing the line and supporting the First Lady's initiative. You will find this type of response in most liberal establishments.

Most, however, will ignore that since to retool the kitchens and the suppliers is typically beyond the ability of most local restaurants to accomplish profitably.
Maybe Michelle should stick to her gardening....Just what every patrons wants , give the customer less....Seems like her husband has the same idea when it comes to jobs and leveling the playing field with China....perhaps they discuss it over their small dinners.
If they are smart, they will tell her to mind her own business and let these private companies operate without all the government intrusions.

I don't mind the larger portions. My spouse and I go out to eat and split an entree. We both get the right amount and we don't waste food or money. Our son goes with us and orders the same entree and eats it all himself. He is very athletic and his job requires he be physically fit. His 3% body fat tells me that it is ok for him to eat the whole meal because he will burn it off with activity.

Government is not the answer. Government is the problem.
I hope someone spit on her big mac.
That's a very heavy handed way to impart her ideas. Not a good sign for a leader of the US. She thinks she has power or something.
Can you you just imagine what would have happened had ICE conducted a raid on the kitchen for illegals with her highness sitting out on the floor? "Cook! Cook! Where's my horsenfepher?!!! (shades of Bugs Bunny)
Feds tell court they can decide what you eat.

"The FDA essentially believes that nobody has the right to choose what to eat or drink," said the Natural News site, which explains it covers topics that allow individuals to make positive changes in their health, environmental sensitivity and consumer choices.

"You are only 'allowed' to eat or drink what the FDA gives you permission to. There is no inherent right or God-given right to consume any foods from nature without the FDA's consent."

The Natural News report continued, "The state, in other words, may override your food decisions and deny you free access to the foods and beverages you wish to consume. And the state may do this for completely unscientific reasons 鈥?even just political reasons 鈥?all at their whim."
    It was a suggestion.

No they won't loose money. You do realize only in the US do they serve such outrageous portions? Funny thing is how restaurants in other countries still manage to stay open and make money serving smaller portion sizes.

    Donna
She's just spreading awareness. Get a life and start demanding that American food companies start using less additives and cutting corners with our food. When you compare the food we eat to the food they eat in other places around the globe, we truly are disgusting people. I'm not saying I don't eat McDonald's like everyone else, but grow up and open your eyes. The state of food in this country is pretty deplorable.

  • What is the best way to request a free meal from restaurants I recommend?

I'm a concierge at an upscale hotel, and I recommend quitea few nice restaurants in the area. I'd love to try the food to be able to give a more accurate recommendation, but I'm not sure what the proper etiquette is for requesting a complimentary meal. What is the best way to request a free meal from restaurants I recommend?
What area? Go to www.stokedup.com they have loads of special offers, money off vouchers and freebies from different restaurants.

Either that or just go into the restaurant tell them where you work and that you would like to recommend their food to your customers but you haven't tried it, then just ask for a complimentary meal.

At a minimum they will commend you for your courage.
How to blag a free meal! Interesting question.

You should probably visit the restaurants you recommend saying what you do and you need to look around to see if it's up to scratch for your high class customers. Ask them what their food it like and would it be possible to sample it, so you can recommend from personal experience.

Alternatively write a letter requesting a free meal and the reason why - they can only say no.

My son filmed in Talin giving a city guide and was given loads of free meals - they all love publicity. He used the face to face approach.

Happy tasting - I envy you. What is the best way to request a free meal from restaurants I recommend?

Why are all restaurants installing televisions in their dining rooms?

The only time I see people watching TV in a restaurant is when the restaurant is a sports bar, and they've had TVs for decades. What I'm curious about is why regular restaurants are putting TVs in their dining rooms. They usually turn the sound off and nobody really watches them. What's the deal? Why are all restaurants installing televisions in their dining rooms?
    They think it attracts attention.

The wait for food is usually long.

Tv's might attract someones attention and probably make them distracted and make their meal time wait seem shorter. Why are all restaurants installing televisions in their dining rooms?
people eat more when they watch tv or are otherwise occupied. The point is for them to make money.

How do you make a grilled chicken sandwich taste like a restaurants?

I always order a grilled chicken sandwich at restaurants and they are so good! Especially Red Robin...then I try to make one at home and it tastes awful! I have tried various marinades, but they taste weird. These are just plain chicken sandwiches but taste completely different than what I make. Why? How is a Red Robin chicken sandwich so much better? I've tried several kinds of chicken breast and it doesn't make a difference. How do you make a grilled chicken sandwich taste like a restaurants?
Soak your chicken breast in "Butter Milk" for 8-10hrs. Then coat in your favorite dry rub. I like this:

    3 Tbs Kosher Brown Sugar

    2 Tbs Kosher Salt

    1 Tbs Chili Powder

    1 Tbs Paprika

    1 Tsp onion powder

    1 Tsp Old Bay

Also Buttering and Grilling the inside part of your buns will really improve the flavor of what ever is in it.
I never tried the Red Robin grilled chicken sandwich to be honest. I prefer the more fatening kind that are fried. However.. it may all be in the sauce or marinade.. grilled foods in general have less flavor.. I know what you mean.. I tried to duplicate some salads.. and they never ever come out the anywhere near when I eat out. love sun dried tomatoes on a chicken sandwitch. You have to pre soak them first. Spinach and sundried tomatoes are good together so that the chicken soaks up the flavor and the chicken will be juicier when cooked. The kind of sandwitch bread you use makes a big difference too.. I like rustic thick crusted bread. You can marinate the chicken in plain old italian salad dressing the night before. You didn't say if the chicken at Red Robin has a cream sauce on it or if it was dry?

You can search the net for chicken sandwitch.. sauces.. alot of times its all in how they grill it.. that makes it tast charcoal broiled. The food network has some of the best top recpies going. If all else fails..lightly batter it with egg , flour or italian bread crumbs and fry it in either sauting olive oil or peanut oil and I bet you will love that! How do you make a grilled chicken sandwich taste like a restaurants?
This is how I make my favorite chicken sandwiches:

Thaw and boil a chicken breast for 5-10 minutes

Put it on the panini maker just until seared

Spray non stick spray on my favorite bread

Place sprayed side down, top with chicken breast, tomato slices, avocado slice, and cheese

(Obviously you can add whatever you like)

Put other bread on sprayed side up

    Grill for about 3 minutes

    It is so good!
Me I just salt and pepper the chicken breast grill until done.

Butter the bread, add a good cheese, fresh tomatoes and crispy lettuce and whole wheat bun
    Here's some ideas

    Red Robin庐 California Chicken Burger

    1 sesame seed hamburger bun

    2-4 teaspoons mayonnaise

4 slice dill pickle "sandwich chips"

    1 chicken breast fillet

    2 slices Monterey Jack cheese

    2 slices hickory maple-smoked bacon

    2 tomato slices

    1/4 cup guacamole

    1/3 cup shredded lettuce

Preheat barbecue or grill to medium. Grill chicken for 4 to 6 minutes per side. Add 2 slices of Monterey Jack cheese on top of the fillet to melt during the last 1 minute of grilling.

Toast the face of the top and bottom sesame seed bun on an indoor griddle or skillet over medium heat.

    Build the sandwich:

Spread approximately 1-2 teaspoons of the mayonnaise on each of the toasted faces of the top and bottom bun.

Add dill pickle meemoskitchen chips evenly on toasted bottom half of sesame seed bun.

Stack the chicken breast on the bottom bun.

Arrange the tomato slices on the chicken.

Arrange 2 slices cooked bacon in an "X" pattern on top of chicken.

Add guacomole on top of the tomato slices.

Add about 1/3 cup of shredded lettuce on next, top with the top bun.

Chicago: What is the best neighborhood to stay for nightlife and restaurants?

I'll be in Chicago for one night. I don't care at all about sightseeing, but want a neighborhood that has cool restaurants, nightlife, and is convenient in terms of mass transportation, and relatively centrally located since I'll be meeting up with friends for dinner, drinks and brunch. Try Bahama breeze. Alligator tastes like chicken but its tougher %26amp; without the flavor!!!!
Alligator might be a common animal in Florida but it's certainly not common at most restaurants. Unless you go deep into the South or find a restaurant that specializes in foods like that, you most likely will not find alligator.

Before you get your expectations all high, I'll warn you. It tastes exactly like chicken. My friend gave me a piece and didn't tell me and I wasn't the wiser. What are some good restaurants in Orlando Florida?
Alligator taste a lot like chicken, softer texture. It is not commonly serve in Orlando but you can find it. Some good restaurants there are:

Bahama Breeze, Orlando Ale house, Texas Du Brazil, Boston Lobster Feast, Caf茅 tango, Emeril restaurant, Ponderosa steakhouse...

If you don't mind driving to where the locals eat....Just up I-4 a few miles..Winter Park area...Tolla's,(Pennsylvania Ave), Spice(Park Ave), Tijuana Flats(Aloma Ave)

Maitland....the original Antonio's(17-92), Orlando ....Coq au Van(4800 S. Orange Avenue)

If staying down by Disney....there is a Charley's in that area as well.

Haven't eaten often in Universal....went to Emeril's Tchoup chop and was not remotely impressed. There is a Chevy's at the first entrance to Disney that is good.

Economically speaking, why do restaurants close earlier than others?

I need to know this for my economics class... the question is why economically would some restaurants at the union close as early as 3:30 instead of staying open 24 hours like others places.

Thanks!!Economically speaking, why do restaurants close earlier than others?
All companies including restaurants set production up to a point where marginal cost = marginal revenue. Recall that the marginal revenue curve is declining and the marginal cost curve is increasing as output goes up. One restaurant may have a higher marginal revenue curve, so marginal revenue = marginal cost at a higher production point.

In other words, you have two restaurants. With paying people overtime, it costs increasingly more to operate longer hours in a day. But restaurant B makes a lot more money than Restaurant A. So while it's not worth its while A to stay open past 3:30, B may make so much more than it is worthwhile for it to stay open 24 hours even with the higher labor costs associated with overtime pay.Economically speaking, why do restaurants close earlier than others?
So their employees wouldn't have to work as long/much.

Not the non-chain ones usually, no. Certainly not after midnight either. I know in my neighborhood there are only a handful of non-chain restaurants open after 10pm.How late are most restaurants in Chicago open?
    If you're talking about McD's - they're open 24 hours.
your best bet is to do it before 7

Santa Barbara = Moby Dick or Cafe Los Arcos ($) - BEST FOOD, on the dock, very cheap!

Newport Beach = Bayside Restaurant or First Cabin at Balboa Bay Club ($$$) - BEAUTIFUL settings

Costa Mesa = The Clubhouse ($$) - they give big portions at reasonable price. Must try the Creme Brule.

    Costa Mesa = Sutra Lounge

Los Angeles = Woodranch Restaurant at The Grove (best bread %26amp; steak ever) ($$)

    Los Angeles = Mr. Chow

If you do decide to go to LA, I would recommend going to Koi Sushi House afterwards for some drinks!

  • Are there any restaurants in Southern New Jersey were the waitresses wear skirts or dresses?

Back in the 1970's and 1980's most waitresses in most restaurants wore skirts or dresses. But one by one the restaurants switched over to pants. I used to like it when waitresses wore skirts or dresses and showed a little leg. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any restaurants left in Southern New Jersey where the waitresses still wear skirts or dresses? Are there any restaurants in Southern New Jersey were the waitresses wear skirts or dresses?
I don't know about in new jersey but I work at a diner in PA and they said I could wear pants, shorts, or skirts, but they advised me not to wear a skirt because on multiple occasions while wearing a skirt to work the old men would flip up her skirt while walking by! No wonder waitresses don't wear skirts anymore!

What do you think are the Best Restaurants in the Detroit Area?

My wife and I have eaten at Little Italy and McKinnons in Northville and a bunch of the chains like J. Alexanders and Bahama Breeze. We like Xochimilco in Mexican Village and Pegasus in Greek Town although we have eaten at most of the restaurants in those areas. We are always looking for good restaurants.

Good question. Try Slows in Detroit. It's newer and has a fantastic BBQ menu. Also Mon Jin Lau in Troy is the best Asian cuisine around. Street Side seafood in Birmingham is quite good for seafood.

I live in th North burbs and frequent restaurants in my area. Some of my very favorites are Lily's Seafood in Royal Oak, Mitchell's Fish Market in Birmingham, Pizza Crust Wine Bar in Bloomfield Hills and Sangria's in Royal Oak. Sangria's features tapas and, you guessed it, amazing sangria. Also, if you are looking for AMAZING chinese food, head over to Wah Court in Windsor. Windsor also has a strip of authentic Italian restaurants that are to die for. Bon appetite!

What restaurants can a 17 year old work at?

I'd like to stay clear of fast food jobs. Does anyone know what restaurants hire 17 year olds? Specifically Chili's Restaurant? What restaurants can a 17 year old work at?
Applebees, Outback Steakhouse...there are lots of options- it just depends on where you want to be. I think Chili's does, but you'd only be allowed to be a host/hostess because you have to be 18 to be a Waiter/waitress
Pretty much any restaurantWhat restaurants can a 17 year old work at?
Most all, but it depends on state laws.

Oh, I see you want to start at the tip. Good luck.

Any restaurant including mcdonalds, wendy's, burger king, dunkin donuts, pizza hut etc.

Most restaurants require you to be 18 to be a server, but if you want to be a host you can be 17.

denny's, Rubio's, i am not sure about chilis
as a 17-year old it is kind of hard to work in a restaurant. Usually they start at 18. The place that starts hiring at 16- is Chick-FIl-A, even though it is a fast food place it is a good start to help you deal with and get used to fast pace environment. Gives a good experience then you can move on to else where. Good Luck =)
theres lots of places such as:Chili's,Applebees,Olive garden

Hope i helped please write back to me!
My daughter was working at a Culvers when she was 16.
maybe mickey d`s or some other fast food place.
all of them i never see any that would not hire 17 years old they want some of them to be 18 so they can work nights

Am interested in the process that french fries are commercially made and packed for sale to fast food restaurants like mac donalds. How are french fries prepared commercially for sale to fast food restaurants?
Potatoes are in fact cooked to a point and then mashed.

They are then molded to all be the same shape and size.

By pressure force they are put together again.

    Then quick frozen and packed.

During the initial cooking process some preservatives are added which allows them to be frozen.

If you should freeze cooked potato, it will come out bland and soggy when defrosted, but this process preserves them but the additives are no healthy.

Those potato chips no longer contain potassium, which is the main benefit potatoes have for us.

They are simply "just starch" which makes them unhealthy and fattening.
by the train loads mcdonalds said they had fill 7 miles of train cars every yearHow are french fries prepared commercially for sale to fast food restaurants?
    1. get some potatoes

    2. slice em in sticks

    3. dehydrate them

    4. freeze them via quick freezing

    5. sell.

What is the best way I can advertise my murder-mystery parties to local restaurants and bars?

I want to make extra cash hosting murder mystery parties for restaurants and bars; a bit like dinner theater, I suppose, but more interactive. Other than cold calling potential restaurants, what's the best and most cost-effective way I can advertise my service to people in the industry? If it helps, I live in Austin, TX, if anyone knows of a local trade publication. What is the best way I can advertise my murder-mystery parties to local restaurants and bars?
Instead of trying to sell them something (your parties) give them something. As a former small business owner, time was both my most valuable asset and my worse enemy. If you could offer the owners time, it would get their attention. How? Throw a murder mystery party with the people attending being vendors who are trying to get face to face time with the owners of these establishments in order to introduce them to their products. Arrange it so that if they pay you to attend and participate, that they will be given 10 minutes to present their product line to the owner(s). This brings people into the establishment (best on it's slow nights) and it allows the owners to meet potential new vendors of potential new products for their business without the typical interruptions and pressure. Everyone wins, including you because now you've shown the restaurant and bar owners what your service could do for them as far as bringing people into their establishments; the owners because their time is being used more wisely and hopefully productively, and you because you're basically demonstrating your service and being paid for it all at the same time.
If you are doing it in Austin. I would put on a presentation and invite managers and owners to your party.

Once you are established you will have a showplace to advertise. Right now all you have is an idea and it needs to be demonstrated and if you don't GRAB their attention you will never get it going.

Bar people have to be sold on something that is going to affect the way their current crowd is changed by something this different.

You almost need at startup club to get that off the ground. Or do like the comedy clubs did when they first started about 30 years ago and get them to dedicate a slow night.

I worked at a club in Lexington KY that took on the Comedy Caravan and it lasted more than 16 years on Tuesday nights. What is the best way I can advertise my murder-mystery parties to local restaurants and bars?
flyers, or better yet postcards. you can get them printed cheap at http://gotprint.com. or http://vistaprint.com

you'll just have to have someone design something for you. unless you have any design programs yourself. i think got print will design it for you for a reasonable price.

What are some good restaurants at the Disney Resorts?

We are staying at The Pop Century Resort to save a little cash. From what we hear the pop century does not have the best dinning, so we decided to eat at the other resorts. We are looking for something cheap yet fun to eat at. We like the looks of the wilderness lodge/ cabins and the animal kingdom lodge. What are some good restaurants at the other resorts?

Thank You!What are some good restaurants at the Disney Resorts?
My family and I really enjoy eating at Chef Mickeys for breakfast over at the Contemporary resort.. it's a buffet style character breakfast.

I would recommend skipping the Kona Cafe in the Polynesian hotel, it's nothing special and I really did not enjoy their food. Nothing that great about it.

However on the other side of the Polynesian, there is a restaurant called Ohana that is also a character breakfast, they're good for family breakfast, lunches, dinners. etc.

Also, another character breakfast haha.. but with different characters! is 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian Resort.. this is also a buffet style restaurant with very good food, and it's been the best overall dining experience I've had (it features characters from Alice in Wonderland including the Mad Hatter who is VERY funny! And Prince Charming, a Few Princesses, etc..)

    Enjoy!
Yeah the one at the Wilderness Lodge is really fun! So that is a good choice :) The Polynesian has a really great restaurant with a beautiful view so that might be something else to try. Animal Kingdom Lodge's restaurant is really unique and yummy. They have a really good buffet too :)

There are some really good restaurants in the parks too! Try Hollywood Studios Sci-fi diner or the 50's Prime Time Cafe (one of my favorites)!! Or the Living Seas restaurant. The Japanese steakhouse in EPCOT is awesome! You can even try to get one of the candies in your favorite animal by the candy artist outside of it. But yeah those are just a couple of my favorites at the parks since I know you said the Resorts, but hopefully that helped! Have an amazing trip! What are some good restaurants at the Disney Resorts?
Ohana at the Polynesian Resort is my favorite! If you have dinner over there around the time Wishes is scheduled at the Magic Kingdom, you get to see the fireworks and they even play the show's music at the restaurant. It has an amazing view of the lagoon and Cinderella's Castle. The food is amazing, its buffet style!
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe' in Magic Kingdom is really good, a lot of food, great variety, and quite cheap.

It's right by the Grand Pier cars, near Tomorrowland.

Here's dining for the Magic Kingdom:

    http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/magic-kingdom/dining/

I don't think I've ever had anything bad at Disney. Have fun!
If you want to eat cheap do breakfast like Crystal Palace, Ohana, Whispering canyon cafe, Captains Grill Yacht Club, Olivia Cafe eat around 10am then try a Quick dinner like Earls Sandwich DTD, Go to Allears.net to see prices and whats on the menus. Have a good time!
    Port Orleans-French Quarter: Sassagoula

    Port Orleans-Riverside: Boatwright's

    Coronado Spring: Mayan Grill
ANY ONE!!! THEY ARE ALL GREAT! CALIFORNIA GRILL! WOOOOHOO!
Most of them are fantastic.I normally do not like chinese, but the Disney one is superb.

  • How many days of the year do people who work in restaurants work, 365-national holidays or are wknds included?

When calculating wages/salaries for people who work in restaurants, should I use the figure 365 - national holidays, or, 365-national holidays and weekends? How many days of the year do people who work in restaurants work, 365-national holidays or are wknds included?
The biggest downside to working in restaurants is that you will work when everyone else if on vacation. Even Thanksgiving and July 4th and sometimes Christmas if you work at a hotel restaurant. So you have to be prepared to work on any one of the 365 days.

You will actually work 5 days a week; same as most workers.

You can divide a salary by 365 to determine a daily wage. How many days of the year do people who work in restaurants work, 365-national holidays or are wknds included?
huh? how are you calculating wages that you need to know the number of days?

You would normally calculate restaurant worker pay by hour.

Well when you are waiting and waiting really long some people end up leaving unless they have entertainment. In other words, the restaurants are installing televisions so they dont loose money on customers who want their food faster than they can serve it too them or get them a table.
For anyone who likes to watch sports while they eat and they keep volume down because some customers who don't watch sports may complain that it distracts them while they prefer a nice quiet social dinner with their family and friends. Why are all restaurants installing televisions in their dining rooms?
To distract you from how crappy the food is and how slow the service.
Aside from the sports bar / restaurant theory, I would think to keep the customers entertained while they are waiting for their food to be served. And, if the customers are "drinking" I would think that might increase the alcohol sales (if you're not paying attention you might drink more). Those are the only things I can think of.

    Good question by the way!!

How do I find restaurants that perform nightly shows?

What are some good restaurants for the tourist in Mexico City?

I'm visiting Mexico City at the end of July and speak only a little spanish. I'd like to go to some restaurants that are low key (not really fancy) but nice and with a variety of food. What are some good restaurants for the tourist in Mexico City?
For more day to day tacos and such, you can go to the El Farolito chain or El Lago de los Cisnes. These, particularly Farolito, can be found in almost neighborhood in DF. No guarantee that the staff will speak English though. If you happen to be in the San Angel neighborhood, which has great crafts markets, then try the Bazaar and it's restaurant, which are open on Saturdays.
I Say this Tacos or More Restaurant but is good test good about Tocos. What are some good restaurants for the tourist in Mexico City?
The majority of the Hotel are in English. Get Fodors book on Mexico, great for all info.
you can try 'La buena tierra' in 'la condesa' neighbourhood. Also, 'La casa de las sirenas', behind the cathedral, in the 'zocalo'. Or 'El caf茅 de Tacuba', Allende street, oustide the subway station called 'Allende'. Those are really nice places.
i'm american, but my parents are mexican, but when we go to visit family there in the city, we go to El Arroyo. the food is delicious, but i don't know if the staff speaks english. there's also Sanborns, those are good too. there's many of those around the city, and again, i'm not sure if they speak english there either. the hotel u stay at i'm sure will have brochures and pamphlets of good restaurants. have fun!!!

How to order vegetarian cheese at restaurants?

Is there a list of restaurants that serve cheese without animal rennet? I know I should probably ask but is there a link that has a list of restaurants that use microbial rennet instead? How to order vegetarian cheese at restaurants?
Nope, but here's a list of vegetarian brands. You'd need to ask the restaurant who makes their cheese. http://cheese.joyousliving.com/CheeseLis鈥?/a>
Unfortunately, most restaurants do not specifically list where their cheeses come from. The only way to know for sure would be to call the restaurant ahead of time or the company's number ahead of time.

A lot of organic cheeses are vegetarian, though, and Boar's Head has vegetarian american, swiss, and cheddar cheeses.

Stay away from Kraft cheeses. They use animal rennet in those.

To Itison: Kraft still uses animal enzymes in their cheeses in the United States. Their only vegetarian cheese in the U.S. is their Domestic Swiss.

http://kraftfoods.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/k鈥?/a>How to order vegetarian cheese at restaurants?
why is it ok to eat the cows milk%26lt;cheese but not the rennet i mean i know cheese isnt flesh but really what is the diff? cows arnt slaughtered *specifically* for their rennet and im sure dairy cows arnt thrilled with their living conditions.
    Call ahead.

And one guy said Kraft cheeses have rennet. I don't think this is the case anymore, or at the very least, I know that in Canada the Kraft parmesan does not. I'm pretty sure it used to, but I've checked the ingredients lately and it now contains microbial enzyme instead. Other Kraft cheeses may be the same, I'm not sure.
Kinda funny that you care about the rennet that comes from the stomach of a slaughtered calf, but still support the dairy industry, which directly fuels animal cruelty and the veal industry.

    Ditch the cheese.

What fast food restaurants "participate" in animal cruelty?

I know that KFC doesn't seem to care about the welfare of animals and I am wondering what other fast food restaurants are the same. Which ones are the worst and which ones are socially responsible? What fast food restaurants "participate" in animal cruelty?
Yes, KFC is one of the worst. The company refuses to improve its animal welfare standards, and many of the people on its own animal welfare advisory board have quit in disgust.

Wendy's is also bad... many years ago the company promised animal protection groups that it would improve, but hasn't made one single change.

Burger King is one of the best:

    http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries…
    Heya

To be honest i dont think that any of these fast food resteraunts cares about the welfare of the animals. To them its just about money. They wont spend a penny more than they have to ,to keep these animals alive.

I have heard that KFC is one of the worst for animal cruelty.I know they have lots of articles in the news about it and on youtube there are alot of videos of what is happening. Personally i prefer to remain ignorant to this as i cant stand to watch these videos i find them too upseting. After KFC then i would think that macdonalds is pretty bad for animal cruelty too.

Good question =] xxxWhat fast food restaurants "participate" in animal cruelty?
Pretty much all of them... However as a rule avoid these 3.

    The 3 giants...

    McDonalds

    KFC

    Burger King

    __

The only fast food I eat is Subway, veggie sub, no cheese, italian dressing...

    __

You know... Subway has never been called Scumway, by anyone but you atleast XD

"Milford-based Subway is a winner in the Second Biennial “Golden Bun” Awards, given for the best veggie burgers and sandwiches in North America."

    http://www.peta2.com/STUFF/s-eat1.asp

I am sure you can find others... They're Veggie Sub is actually a great option for veggies on the go...
Fast food restaurants are buying mass produced, inexpensive meat products. None of them are auditing for humane farming practices.

Unless the restaurant specifically says it uses only humane meats, assume it doesn't. If it does, expect to pay at least double the price.
"fast food restaurants" and "welfare of animals" do not belong in the same sentence together, unless they're seperated by the phrase "don't give a crap about"......
All fast food support animal cruelty. If they are fast food, and they serve meat, especially cheap meat...than there is no way that they are "animal friendly"
I'm guessing they ALL participate in animal cruelty, as I'm sure they don't have consciences about where they buy their ingredients and meat.
I'm sorry but fast food and social responsibility don't go together. Otherwise those places wold stop killing us slowly.
    They're all the same.

You have to check where they get their meat and if the meat companies have any violations.
All of the slaughter houses are regulated and inspected, assembly line plus blow gun to the brain stem.
    hmmmm... cruelty.
    Anywhere meat is served.
They're all bad. They all have something to do with cruelty.
all of them - i mean they are selling you dead animals, right?
    sadly, all of them:(
o well get over it...thats how hu9mans survived all these years... u want some french cries? hahah
I can see your feelings about animal cruelty, the worse isn't the restaurants meat suppliers, sure the animals live in very crowded living spaces, but lets get real here about what animal cruelty really is, most butchering companies at least in the USA, have very high standards and laws they have to run there businesses by or be out out of business real fast, plus hit with hefty fines!

But I have seen real animal cruelty by the Mong and Guyana people who live in the USA! If you would see how they butcher up there live animals, your stomach would turn inside out! And I'm sure there are many other foreign cultures living here that do the same kind of butchering acts in there garages and back yards and basements!

First the foreigners don't just kill the animals to butcher them! They send them through the torture of death! BLEED TO DEATH! The worse cruelty possible to any animal or a human as far as that goes! It's a very slow death! You only need to see it be done once and it will stay in your mind the rest of your life!

They take there goats, sheep, beef and all there other 4 legged and 2 legged animals that there going to butch up! They catch them, tie there legs together! then hold them down and slit there throats and hold them down until they Bleed to death, while collecting the blood into a bowl for use in there weird cooking habits!

The first time I saw it down, I wanted to slit there throats! I am an animal lover and have always been one! So for me to see such animal cruelty, was about the worse thing I have ever witnessed and I told them what I felt about there savage ways towards animals and told them to move back to there heartless country where they belong! What ever animals there going to butcher, the animals all suffer dieing the same way! A very slow death by getting there throats slit open to Bleed to death!

At least American meat suppliers know what a gun is! Or know how to perform quick non suffering quick deaths to the animals that will be butchered! But like I said, sure there are some meat suppliers that at time try to cut time on butchering time and the whole process, but if there ever caught, they will be slapped with huge fines and maybe even put out of business, if caught not following laws and regulations they must follow and honor to stay in business!

So to all you people that hate animal cruelty, maybe you all should get a huge group put together and get laws passed so the foreign people livng in the USA can't do the biggest most heartless cruelty, by letting there animals there going to butcher up, bleed to death first! That would be the biggest animal cruelty stopper in the USA today! Plus it would show the foreigners that there cruel old home country ways aren't tolerated here in the USA and that if they want to live here amongst us, then they better act civilized, instead of savage animal butchers!

Now that would be the best fight against animal cruelty! Seeing there's about 3.5 million mongs living in the USA!
Yup definitely KFC aka Killing Families %26amp; Chickens!

    Mc Donalds aka Mac Dontcare

    Burger King aka Burnout King
